Support My Campaign
I’m running a grassroots campaign with big heart, not big money. Every donation helps spread the word, support accessibility advocacy, and bring real change to Ward 1.
If you believe in a more inclusive, accountable Fort McMurray — I’d be honoured to have your support.

About Koryn Dyer
Championing Community and Transparency
Candidate for Ward 1 Councillor | Community Advocate | Accessibility Champion
Hi, I’m Koryn Dyer, a born and raised Fort McMurray resident, stroke survivor, disability advocate, and small business owner. I’m running for Ward 1 Councillor because I believe this city deserves a representative who leads with lived experience—not political ambition.
In 2016, I had a stroke while five months pregnant. That moment changed my life—and gave me a front-row seat to just how inaccessible Fort McMurray can be. I don’t drive, and that alone makes daily life a challenge in a city that wasn’t built with people like me in mind.
That’s why I’ve spent the years since pushing for more inclusive policies—locally and provincially—through my work with organizations like Voice of Albertans with Disabilities and the Regional Inclusion Committee.
I’m not here to play politics. I’m here because I understand what it means to be left out—and I want to make sure no one in our community feels like they don’t belong.
I’m running on a platform built around accountability, accessibility, and action—because it’s time our city worked for everyone.
